Presidents Cup players Scott Verplank, Charles Howell III and Mike Weir return to action this week for the Frys.com Open in Las Vegas. Nine golfers Verplank, Howell, Charley Hoffman, Nick Watney, Mark Wilson, Mark Calcavecchia, Joe Ogilvie, Steve Flesch and Chad Campbell -- will be going for a second PGA Tour victory in 2007.
Two Tournament Players Club courses await in the 144-man field over the first two rounds. Players get just one crack at the par-71, 7,063-yard TPC Canyons, designed by Bobby Weed along with player consultant Raymond Floyd. Weekend action shifts exclusively to the par-72, 7,234-yard TPC Summerlin, for which two-time major winner Fuzzy Zoeller served as design consultant.
Teenage phenom Tadd Fujikawa, who became the second youngest player to make a PGA Tour cut at the Sony Open, accepted a sponsor's exemption this week and will be making his third career start on the big tour.
